Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, located west of Africa and southwest of Morocco’s coast. By being on the same latitude as Sahara desert, Tenerife enjoys a warm weather all year round. The island itself is of a volcanic origin with the Mount Teide, the highest mountain in the Spain and 3rd largest volcano in the world. A daily trek to volcano is highly recommended and is one of the main attraction of the island for those who don’t only want to sunbathe or dive. The volcanic origin of Tenerife is visible under the water too, with many caves an swim troughs. The island hosts large diversity, while there is a desertic habitat on the south, only a few kilometers north you can walk through thick, green and cool forests and enjoy dramatic cliffs and stunning views. Warm and clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean allow diving all year round. The water temperature ranges from 26 degrees in the summer/autumn to 18 degrees in the winter. Tenerife is a Spanish island belonging to EU and being very popular holiday destination, there are many airlines flying there. On the south of the island you will find many tourist oriented beaches and resorts, whereas on the north are more local towns and charming local villages.

There are many low cost airlines with regular flights to the Tenerife including Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Easy Jet, Monarch, Iberia just to name few; planning your visit in advance therefore can be very economical. There are two international airports on the island, Tenerife South and Tenerife North. Our center is 52 km from the Southern airport and 17 km from the Northern airport. You can reach us using a regular bus services or you can let us organize a transport for you. If you are coming with a few friends or with a family, hiring a car might be an option to consider, especially if you are planning to see the other parts of island.

We recently moved to our new beautiful center, just next door from the old one! We have a huge chillout area for socialising, stretching, watching videos and movies and eating lunch during breaks. We have a new spacious and private classroom, 4 showers, 2 toilets, a massive equipment/storage room, and even a kitchen!

Much of apnea training and courses in Tenerife happen in our beautiful and protected bay of playa Tabaiba. This location has ideal conditions for apnea and freediving courses throughout the year. We have beautiful weather all year round (there is a reason why Tenerife is called the Island of eternal spring!), and we are mostly protected from winds, swells and currents, which makes this piece of island the perfect location for apnea training throughout the year, at less than 4 hours flights from most of the major European cities.
