This classes are designer for 2 different class of freedivers: Beginners and Advanced.
Beginners: Did you do a beginner course before and struggled with equalisation, especially when in head-down position?
This is something very common but the majority of times is due to wrong technique and lack of awareness of the structures involved in equalisation. Unfortunately during a short course there is not much time to dedicate to a thorough equalisation lesson.
Often it happens that people who experienced this problem will drop out of freediving and think it is not for them.
It doesn’t have to be this way! Some people just need a bit more time to work on it, and the good news is that you dont need to be in the water to do this, in fact the most efficient way to learn and practice equalisation is on land.
During this class we go deep into the anatomy of equalisation, which structures are involved and which exercises you need to practice so to learn the Frenzel maneuver, which is the most efficient way to equalise for freediving.
Advanced: Are you freediving comfortably to 20-30 meters but past this depth you feel as if “you have no air” to equalise? This is due to poor technique, as a basic Frenzel Maneuver is not very effective past 30 meters and takes a lot of effort to perform. During this class you will learn how to perform a more advanced version of Frenzel through the practice of some dry exercises that will allow you to go deeper with less effort.
We offer this class:
– At our center, in the afternoon from 2pm.
– Online! If you want some time to practice in advance before your freediving trip, we highly recommend that you book this session online, as the longer you have to practice the higher the chances that you will be able to perform a flawless equalisation during your next in-water session.
